Outcome of voting at the Sept. 3rd meeting
Two motions for rule or policy book changes that had been forwarded at the June meeting and posted here and in the newsletter were voted upon. A new procedural motion was forwarded and was also voted upon
- The motion regarding movement of cased firearms under certain circumstances during a cold range failed to receive the 2/3 majority required for a rule change – the motion failed
- The motion regarding clean-up of outdated text in the policy book # 20 Annual Membership fee Schedule : – was amended at the meeting to reflect the amounts listed included the newly required sales tax (currently 8.8%) on memberships and that the amounts were not a dues increases but actual out of pocket amount WA State already requires us to collect. The amended motion pasted with the required 2/3 majority.
Original motion – # 20 – Annual membership fee schedule : Dues $110 , work party credit $40 , new member $130. Members that provide extraordinary service to the club may have the entire membership fee waived. The decision to wave membership fees will be made by the club officers.

- A procedural change to allow the club secretary to record the meeting as an aid in preparing the meeting minutes was brought up for discussion. A stipulation that the recording is not an archive but an aid to supplement written notes was forwarded. A motion to allow the recordings as stipulated was presented, seconded and voted upon – the motion passed
This means future meetings may be recorded at the secretary’s discretion as an aid in preparing the meeting mins
