A proposal was accepted by the members at the June 6, 2024 General Members meeting to install carport covers for the 50 yard range. This is being done to provide protection from the sun so as to expand the use of the range.
The carports are anchored using concrete pier blocks that have the raised steel bracket. If any member has any unused blocks they would like to donate, please contact me.

TCMSA now has scheduled Bullseye Pistol matches. They are currently shooting the .22 LR portion on a weekly schedule. On Saturday, May 25,2024, they will be holding an intro to Bullseye, at no cost, for members to see what it is all about.
Members involved in this discipline will be at the range from 0900 to 1100 to demonstrate the course of fire and provide .22LR pistols to try out. If you have any .22LR pistol such as Ruger semi autos, Browning Buckmark, S&W autos or any other, bring them with you.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with a group that is more than willing to help new shooters.

Until the improvements at the 50-yard range render it completely independent, members using the main range must contact individuals at the fifty-yard range before going cold at the main range. This requires physically walking down to the fifty-yard range and making personal contact.
This protocol is particularly crucial on Friday mornings during the pistol bullseye match. Similar to other matches held at our range, the match director regulates the hot/cold sequence of the range during competitions.
While it may be inconvenient to establish contact until the range operates independently, it is essential for everyone’s safety until the improvements are finished.

It is a recognized sport by the NRA, CMP, Military and Olympics. Several colleges across the US even offer scholarships. The course of fire consists of slow-, timed- and rapid-fire. The slow-fire event is 10 shots in 10 minutes shot at 50 yds. Timed is 5 shots in 20 seconds, shot twice, and rapid is five shots in 10 seconds, shot twice. Both are shot at 25 yds.

Part of the target system used at the 22 LR 50 yd range was damaged recently. The attached picture shows that the risers which are used to hold the actual target frame when shooting offhand at 25 yards were used to staple targets on. DO NOT staple targets to them. They are not a target frame.
