Historical Rifle Match
The monthly CMP match is scheduled for Saturday July 3,2021. Since this is the 4th of July weekend, we are inviting any and all to bring your M-1 Garand and join us. The course of fire is 50 rounds plus sighters. The cost is $5 to cover the cost of targets and score sheets.
We are a CMP affiliated club, and if you participate in one of these matches, you will be eligible to purchase a M-1 Garand from CMP. If you want to come on out, you can use any military rifle, Springfields, Krags, Mausers, Enfields or an AR. If it is a military rifle and you have ammo, you are good to go.
The ‘regulars’ can help you get situated and explain the whole course of fire as well as the positions. There will also be extra spotting scopes and other equipment to assist you.

Range Closure For Berm Maintenance
The range will be closed for a work party on Wednesday, July 14,2021, from 0700 to 1800. The berm at 25, 50, and 100 yard lines are going to be repaired. An additional 50 yard berm will be constructed west of the CMP firing line. We can use members wanting work party credit for some brush and weed removal. Those attending should bring rakes, gloves, water and sun protection.

GARBAGE & PICKUP DAY CHANGE
The way we handle garbage at the range is being changed. The club is switching to 60
gal. wheeled containers that will be distributed along the line. There will be a spare
by the enclosure. If you find a full container switch it out with an empty. Basin Disposal changed our pickup day to Wednesday
This new system will only succeed if members at the range on Tuesday move any cans half full to the enclosure.
We may be shy of cans on Wednesdays until the garbage truck arrives.
This is a work in progress. Some adjustment for placement and number of cans may be
needed in the future. The upside; no more lifting those steel drums that have caused
injuries!
Flatten all boxes before disposal, compress contents, and set out for pickup. Just like
you do at home!!
Weed Spraying
The range will be closed 14 APR from 0700 to 1200 for weed spraying.
Trap Throwers Back in Service
The trap throwers are in service after replacing the spring on the stop/release lever for the throwing arm. The plan is to add an additional external spring since the factory design does not hold up to the use they get and weather elements. In the interim ensure that the stop/release lever is forward before cocking the arm.
