Challenge Coins
MEMBER, SPOUSE, AND FAMILY INPUT REQUESTED
‘CHALLENGE COINS’
The Rattlesnake Mountain Shooting Facility has for some time awarded individuals a ‘challenge coin’ for participation in activities or for winning events. These coins are expensive, requiring great cost to the Club if they are awarded often.
Recently, the Pasco Fire Department issued clay poker chip challenge coins recognizing the various elements of their organization. These coins cost about $.60 each, including the custom artwork. In an effort to increase participation in scheduled shooting events, especially young/new shooters, TCMSA is exploring the idea of using these as a draw for the various events we schedule.
No decision has been made to proceed with this project yet. TCMSA is looking for ideas for the designs of multiple coins to reflect what we do at out range. One side of all the coins would have the TCMSA logo with the web address, the other side would have designs depicting the shooting events held at our range.
Some of the activities that can be depicted are:
CMP High Power
Sporting High Power
100 Yard rimfire
100 Yard mini palma
50 yard CMP Rimfire Sporting Games
50 yard NRA 3 position
3 gun competition
Benchrest
Hunter Sight in
Women/youth shoots
Any design reflecting who we are
You do not need to be an artist for a submission. Between members with art abilities and the manufacturers design group, we can collect designs and ideas.
Once collected and the Club votes to proceed, designs will be selected and the coins ordered. If your design is accepted, you will receive a framed challenge coin recognizing your contribution.
